What you can do

Read everything on the site. Share the free links and tools with whoever you think would find them useful. Use the tools for your own planning. Quote short passages in your own writing as long as you credit Hudson Bay Finance and link back to the source page.

What you can't do

Don't republish the writing or the tools as if they're your own work. Don't scrape the site to train a model without asking me first. Don't use the Hudson Bay Finance name, wordmark, or any of its brand assets to imply I endorse something I don't.

Your unlock is a personal licence for your own devices, not something you own to pass on. Don't share, resell, or republish your unlock code. It comes with your purchase and it's meant for you alone.

Educational only

Everything here is published for learning. It is not personalized tax, legal, or financial advice for your situation. I don't know your full picture, so I can't be advising you on it. Verify anything that matters directly with canada.ca or a qualified professional.

No warranties

I work to keep the figures correct and up to date, but tax rules change, software has bugs, and the occasional typo slips past review. The site and the tools are provided "as is", with no warranty that any number is correct for your situation. Verify anything that matters against the Canada Revenue Agency before you act on it.

Limitation of liability

I'm not responsible for any losses you experience from acting on anything you read or calculate here. If a court ever decides I am, my total liability to you is capped at what you actually paid: $0 for the free tools, or $19.99 if you bought the unlock.

Refunds

The $19.99 unlock comes with a 30-day money-back policy. Email me within 30 days of your purchase and I will refund it in full. Reach me at [email protected].

A refund ends the licence: once I refund you, your unlock code stops being valid and the paid accounts return to locked on your devices the next time the app checks in. The same applies if you dispute the charge with your card issuer.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Alberta, Canada. Any dispute that can't be sorted out by email goes to a court in Calgary, Alberta.

Changes

If I change these terms, I'll update the "Effective" date at the top of the page. Anything substantive (a real change in how things are run) gets flagged in the next newsletter so subscribers see it without having to revisit this page.
